  2. This is the ReadMe file for Maps 'n' Facts Macintosh, version 1.0.

  5. Memory Requirements

Maps 'n' Facts requires 2 MB free RAM in order to run. In addition, the Help system requires .5 MB of RAM. So, the total free RAM required is approximately 2.5 MB. Depending on what type of machine you have, and what version of the System you are running, you may need more than 4MB of RAM installed in your computer to run both Maps 'n' Facts and the Help system simultaneously.

  10. Note also that the program installation takes up about 5 MB of hard disk space.

  13. Small Monitors

Maps 'n' Facts is designed to run on monitors that display 640x480 resolution, or higher. The program will not run as designed on systems which display less than that resolution, which includes LC systems with 12" monitors  (the early LC systems came with a 512x384 12" monitor, not a 13" monitor).

  19. Running Maps 'n' Facts from the CD

Maps 'n' Facts is intended to be installed on your computer's hard drive. While not recommended, it is possible to run the program directly from the CD. If you decide to run the program  directly from the disc, be aware that you will be unable to save custom list information, bookmarks and updated currency exchange rates.
